Along the North Shore of Oahu, the shoreline is lined with compact sandstone, pressed by time and worn by tide. Water doesn't break sharp edges. It softens them, slowly. Last Light starts there.

Two slabs are folded and offset, one leaning into the other and rising to a sharp peak, leaving a narrow seam between them. The angles are hard and deliberate. The outer face is pitted and cratered, pulled from the texture of the shore, while the inner walls stay smooth.

Lit from within, the glow gathers inside and escapes through the seam. Light does what the tide does, softening the angles and blurring the edges. One thin sliver of warm orange lands on the wall. The last light a sunset gives, held in stone.
