(b. 2001, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi) Kaimana Banes is an artist and ceramic designer whose practice spans ceramics, photography, and art direction. He is best known for sculptural lighting and tableware that pair structured and soft forms.

Raised on the North Shore of Oʻahu, Banes draws on its surf culture, the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, and the Hawaiian value of mālama (to care for). Each piece is quiet and grounded, shaped by a single gesture: a fold, a pinch, a line of its own. Form speaks louder than surface, with clay and kiln left to show through. His work is made to sit quietly wherever it lands.
